Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Chiller / HVAC Technician to join a custom chiller manufacturing team in Hudson, FL. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or MEP systems who are looking to grow within a specialized manufacturing environment.
This position involves building, assembling, and troubleshooting chillers and heat pump systems in a production facility. Candidates should be hands-on, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with complex systems and schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Soldering and brazing copper fittings.
- Cutting and bending copper and titanium tubing.
- Fabricating FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) skids.
- Working with refrigerants including R-410A and R-407A.
- Wiring and programming control systems.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC/chiller systems.
- Managing workload independently and supporting team operations.
- Utilizing basic computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Adobe PDF, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial HVAC or refrigeration systems (required).
- Background in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or equipment assembly is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
