Location: Downtown Tampa (On site)
Parking: Yes, 80% paid by the company
Pay Rate: $25 – $40 per hour (Based on experience)
Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Paralegal with experience in ERISA and employee benefits. The ideal candidate will support our legal team in managing retirement plans and related compliance matters while providing high-quality administrative and legal support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and gain experience across retirement, health and welfare, and executive compensation plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the administration and compliance of retirement plans (401(k), defined benefit, etc.)
  • Support plan document preparation, review, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with third-party plan administrators, recordkeepers, and other service providers.
  • Assist with health and welfare benefit plan compliance and documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft correspondence as needed.
  • Maintain organized records and files, ensuring attention to detail in all documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to provide accurate, timely support.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with retirement plans as a paralegal or with a third-party plan administrator/recordkeeper.
  • Familiarity with compliance matters related to retirement plans and/or health and welfare benefits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and client-focused attitude.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with health and welfare benefits and/or executive compensation plans.
    • Experience with ASCi plan document generation systems.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Technical Skills:
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn and navigate plan administration software.
