We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused professional with experience in retirement plan administration and ERISA compliance. This role supports the legal and benefits team in managing qualified retirement plans, assisting with compliance matters, and contributing to plan documentation and client deliverables.

This is an excellent opportunity for a retirement plan professional (e.g., TPA, consultant, or analyst) to expand into a more legal/compliance-focused role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support administration and compliance of qualified retirement plans (e.g., 401(k), defined benefit plans).
  • Assist with preparation, review, and maintenance of plan documents, including Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and plan amendments.
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators, recordkeepers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with health & welfare plan compliance and related documentation.
  • Conduct research on ERISA and regulatory requirements (IRS/DOL).
  • Prepare client-facing communications and compliance-related materials.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure accuracy across all plan documentation.
  • Support audits, filings, and ongoing compliance initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, benefits consulting, or TPA environment.
  • Working knowledge of 401(k) and/or defined benefit plans.
  • Familiarity with ERISA, IRS, and DOL compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience reviewing or working with plan documents, SPDs, or amendments.
  • Exposure to client-facing advisory or consulting work.
  • Certifications such as QKA or QKC (or progress toward certification).
  • Experience with health & welfare plans or executive compensation.
  • Legal support experience is a plus (not required).

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with plan administration or recordkeeping systems.
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
